GlowTide uses PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology — the same material specified in luxury hotels, executive boardrooms, and private aviation. When powered, microscopic crystals align to let light pass freely. Switch off power and they scatter instantly, creating a perfectly uniform frosted screen. One window. Two completely different rooms. Controlled at the touch of a button.

GlowTide works on standard single-pane, double-pane, and most tempered glass. It is not compatible with already-frosted, textured, or heavily tinted glass. No contractor, no electrician, no permits. GlowTide runs on a low-voltage wire that sits along your window frame and plugs into a standard outlet. The included squeegee and step-by-step video guide make installation straightforward — most customers complete a full room in under an hour.

GlowTide defaults to fully opaque — privacy mode — whenever power is removed. During any outage, your privacy is maintained automatically with no action required on your part.

In privacy mode — absolutely not. The film is completely opaque from both sides in any light condition. In clear mode at night, the same principle as any window applies: if your interior is brighter than outside, visibility increases. Switching to privacy mode in the evenings gives you complete, guaranteed protection.

GlowTide film is rated for 15–20 years of normal residential use — the same specification used in commercial buildings and luxury hotels worldwide. Every purchase is backed by a full 5-year manufacturer's warranty covering the film, remote control, and all included hardware.

No Wi-Fi, no app, no account required. Every GlowTide order includes a large-button wireless remote with up to 30 feet of range — works straight out of the box. Optional smart home integration (Alexa, Google Home, app control) is available for those who want it, but never required.
